Inquiry based learning through activity takes place at Aristo Public School. Experimental learning is the key to understanding the depth of the subjects.

Red Day

Nature itself has many colours. The “RED DAY” celebration helped the children to understand and feel the concept of Primary colours. Red colour signifies love and compassion. Boards displayed red craft work made by teachers and children. Teachers and students were dressed in red colour clothes. Students actively participated in palm printing activity and they enjoyed printing their own hands using red colour. Some of the children brought red coloured objects from home and spoke about it. The day ended by handing over a small take home.

Blue Day

Blue is a cool and calming colour that shows creativity. The dress code of the day was blue. Teachers and Children dressed up in hues of blue. Children brought different blue colour objects like toys decorative items craft works and so on. In class activities were planned and executed were children enjoyed with enthusiasm. It also helped them understand and feel; the concept of primary colour by making palm print – fish in the art book using blue colour paint. Early identification of colours helped to develop their cognitive skills. A lovely day full of blue came to an end by halding over small take home with a message of “Save Water”.

Yellow Day

Yellow is spontaneity full of positivity, fresh hope and Teachers and students were dressed in different hues and tints of yellow colour. Children brought yellow colour object and spoke about it. Classrooms were reverberated with appealing chart works and crafts highlighting the essence of yellow colour. They enjoyed singing songs related to the colour yellow. During the speech time, Children described avout all the objects which is surrounded in yellow colour. Various colourful activities including drawing, colouring, paper craft and so on were conducted to enrich the quality of the colour and children relished.

Green Day

The colour green represents prosperity and fertility. We created the awareness to “ save trees and go green” during the “Green Day Celebration”. Classrooms were decorated using balloons, leaves, chart, drawings, craft workstoys and so on. Which made them feel the fertile and natural green colour? Teachers and children were dressed up in different shades of green. The children brought green colour object and arranged it beautifully. To make them understand the green colour and importance of tress we did “Tear and paste bits of green marble paper on the trees” craft work. Children enjoyed doing every bit of this craft work. They sang a green day song and planted saplings and enjoyed the day. We also discussed about the colour, texture, taste, shape and size of the fruits.

Pink Day

Pink kindles harmony and affection. The young ones came dressed in pink colour and brought pink coloured toys and spoke about it.All objects were displayed in the classroom and children were introduced to different shades of pink. Little children participated in hands on activities like sprinkling the pink paint on umbrella cutout using tooth brush which reinforced the concept of pink colour. The overall atmosphere was filled with excitement enthusiasm and vigour.The aim of the activity was to make the young ones identify pink colour in the objects, they see around them and it was fulfilled.The day ended with a take away.

Orange Day

Orange radiates warmth,stimulates imagination,it combines the red with the cheerfulness of yellow.Little children were exposed to a series of creative activities like Decorating Air balloons with orange colour usingear buds and mixing of yellow and Red to see the magic of the appearance of Orange colour and so on. The teachers and childrenboth were in a harmonious shades of orange.A dynamic environment was set up to explore their imagination and creativity through meticulously organized drawing and craft actvities.The children brought orange colour objects and spoke about it beautifully.The day ended with a take away.

White Day

White Day stands for peace,purity,innocance light and goodness.Classrooms were decorated in white colour theme.Teachers decorated the environment in white colour to identify and relates to the colour white by the children around them.Children involved themself in a cotton ball pasting on clouds under the rainbow activity and enjoyed the day. By infusing play and activity in learning make learning immensly entertaining and children grasp better.By this way we also celebrated.The day ended with a take away.

Fruits Day

Fruits day was celebrated to educate children about the consumption of fruit in regular diet. Children represented the fruits through dress/chart, sang the fruit ryhme with great enthusiasm and contentment. As a part of the day children included themselves in preparing fruit salad. This helped them to understand and feel different types of fruits by washing, peeling and cutting the fruits which developed their fine motor skills. Children thanked the mother nature for the most amazing food. They also did a bottle cap printing to make the grapes as an activity. They enjoyed eating the delicious fruit salad.

Vegetables Day

Vegetables day was celebrated to make the children understand the vegetables are an essential component of healthy diet for physical growth and sound health. Our children had great fun while performing vegetables related activities such as vegetable dance and enacting as vegetables. Each child brought a vegetable of their choice which were arranged beautifully. Teachers spoke about the importances of having vegetables in their diet. The children participated in veggies play of identifying different types of vegetable. Children dressed up in vegetable consume throug chart/vegetables. It was a great day to make the children identify the colour, texture, shape, size and name of the vegetables and how they help to improve their immune system, growth and development.

Flowers Day

The beautiful fragrance and flowers enhance the beauty of our planet, earth. Children participated with full zest and enthusiasm. They were excited to see different varieties of flowers like Rose, Lotus, Jasmine, Sunflower, and Butterfly Pea and so on. They got familiarized with colours uses, fragrance and the peculiarities of the flowers. Classrooms were decorated with fresh flowers and the place was filled with pleasant fragrance of the flowers. Children sang beautiful Flower song and did a creative activity of bouguet making and Tulip flower painting by using the fork and paint. Our Honourable Chief Executive Officer (CEO) mam Mrs. Lakshmi Sivakumar had a conversation with children about the variety of flowers. Children enjoued the day with happiness.
